Furthering the legacy of the FIFA Football World Cup 2010

Our first port of call was the local football stadium where we were off to meet and play against Beaufort Wests divisional winning Year 9 team for our second friendly of the tour.
The match was being played at a sports complex built as part of the legacy program for the World Cup held here in 2010, complete with stadium seating, 3G pitch and even our own cheerleaders and supporters.
The game started well for the UK side with a accurate kick off but this is where being in possession and control of the game stopped, as the Beaufort West side proved to all why they are reigning divisional champions playing football described by all alike as the tip tap football of Barcelona. They ran out 2-0 winners after a hard fought game in the 25 degree (winter hotter than the UK) heat.
Best of luck to the boys as they are now off to the national championships in the coming weeks.
