APD pupil unit

From the football pitch we visited a local disability school for adults and children. We were warmly welcomed by all with some very special 'high fives' from the children. Stories, games and selfies went down a treat. It was fantastic and moving to see the work that's being done for those who do not typically fit in, and to see that they're treated well. The children we interacted with were all smiling and laughing and it really brought joy to everyone: those of us from the UK and the workers and learners in the school. A highlight had to have been singing happy birthday to a 19 year old woman whose giggle had us brimming with hope and joy for the future of these people. This short stay will be remembered for a lifetime.
